"A woman called asking about the rides she heard the Senior Center offered. I inquired as to what type of rides she was looking for. They happened to be medical appointments that her family may not be able to take her to. After asking going over preliminary questions, I let her know the amount she would owe for the ride is based on monthly income. A letter would be sent the month after taking the rides showing what the total cost was and her cost share percentage. "Oh, I wouldn't need to pay for the ride when I took it?" she said. I let her know that she was correct, and she would pay after she received the letter. She shared her gratitude that such a program was available because her family had been taking time off from work to take her to appointments and she was concerned that it was causing issues for them."
