GetFit/BeFit Healthy Living Challenge 2012

January 16-March 29, 2012

Info and answers to frequently asked questions

  • Monday Walks at the Mall start at 5:30-6:15pm. You must walk the entire 45 minutes to receive 50 bonus points. Sign in and out at center court. If we can't read your name, you won't get credit for the walk. Please PRINT clearly.

  • Just how far is a mile? Find out how many laps around the track or mall it takes to equal 1 mile.

  • GET FIT Competition 1 (Jan 16‐Feb 8) – each team member must complete a walking marathon. Every member of the team will have 4 weeks to walk and/or run a total of 26 miles. The winning team will have every member completing 26 miles and have the highest average number of nutrition and bonus points combined. ENDS WEDNESDAY FEB 8

  • BE FIT Competition 1 (Jan 16‐Feb 8) - each member of the team must complete an ultra‐marathon (52 miles) during the 4 week competition.Every member of the team will have 4 weeks to walk and/or run a total of 52 miles. The winner is the team that has every member complete the 52 miles and has the highest average nutrition & bonus points combined. ENDS WED FEB 8

  • Nutrition points are 30 each day you fulfill the requirement. YOU DO NOT GET PARTIAL POINTS. Eat a combination of 5 fruits and vegetables every day and you get 30 points. Eat 4, you get 0, eat 2 you get 0.

  • United Way of Mower County will enter all outside bonus points within one week of the event.
