Community Impact
At United Way of Mower County we’re focused on results, lives changed and communities shaped.
New in 2007 all agencies applying for program funding will need to attach a logic model with their application. Outcome Measurement will assist our volunteers in the fund distribution process as well as help United Way communicate results to our donors and the community as a whole.
At United Way of Mower County we fund programs under three impact areas.
Ensuring Basic Needs
Programs focused ensuring that all people have access to food, shelter and immediate healthcare services.
Strengthening Individuals and the Community
Programs focused on providing recreational or developmental activities for the community.
Supporting People During Challenging Times in Their Lives
Programs that provide services designed to help individuals or families overcome Obstacles in their lives. Services may be one-time or ongoing, but the outcome of the service must be that the client is better able to handle similar changes by themselves.
In addition to funding quality local programming United Way is investing in initiatives around early childhood education, obesity and volunteerism.
